IPL Photorejuvenation

Our skin ages due to excessive sun exposure and decreased production of collagen.  Photo Rejuvenation treatment with Ellipse helps you keep a younger fresher look.  The safe visible light emitted from the Ellipse flash-lamp makes your face look smoother by removing age spots and visible blood vessels and improving your skin tone.  Diffuse redness and uneven pigmentation can also be improved.  Many women report that it becomes easier to apply make-up. Facial treatments are most popular, but all parts of the body can be treated.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The flash-lamp in the unique Ellipse I2PL system produces light that is carefully filtered into ways to ensure that only light with the correct characteristics (wavelengths) is allowed to reach your skin. The light that is allowed through has been chosen because it is the sort that two natural body substances respond to. Age spots contain a substance called hemoglobin. When cells containing allot of melanin or hemoglobin are hit with the right type of light, they heat up and are destroyed within a few thousandths of a second.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS ARE NEEDED?

The light used I completely safe, visible light. Potentially harmful wavelengths are removed, but since tanning takes place by accumulation of pigment in the skin, it is, however, important to avoid tanning (sun, solarium or self-tanning cream) before and during the treatment period. Otherwise your tanned skin will absorb more light, which makes treatment more effective.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

You may notice that the skin looks a little dirty for a few days following the treatment. After that you will find that your skin looks smoother and fresher. You might choose to have 1-2 annual maintenance treatments in order to keep your youthful appearance.

HOW CAN I BE SURE ELLIPSE IS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE?

Our IP2L treatments are carried out by our senior therapists who have all completed comprehensive training in intense pulsed light safety and application and who carry out every treatment based on settings and recommendations by Ellipse’s European based laboratories. Clinical trials documenting Ellipse’s safety and effectiveness are carries out by leading doctors and the results of these tests are then published in respected, refereed medical journals. You are welcome to view these scientific papers on the Ellipse website at www.ellipse.org.
